Imagine the world's greatest mall and  theme park all in one and located just five miles outside of New York City in East Rutherford, New Jersey— in a nutshell that's the American Dream Meadowlands. This mega-mall / Theme park will officially open on October 25th.



With its 3 million square feet, American Dream will be the world's biggest retail, entertainment, and lifestyle destination. This mega-mall will consist of 45 percent retail and 55 percent entertainment.

American Dream will feature store fronts by Saks Fifth Avenue, Barneys New York, Hermes, Tiffany & Company, Dolce Gabbana, and Moncler—and that's not even close to all of the shopping options. American Dream will also have countless dining options as well, with 20 full service restaurants and enormous food halls to feed the masses.

Shopping


  • 450 retail shops
  • Six anchor retail tenants with more than 50,000 square feet (4,600 m2) each
  • 12 major retailers (20,000 to 50,000 square feet [1,900 to 4,600 m2] each)
  • 339 smaller shops (up to 20,000 square feet [1,900 m2])
  • A 35,000 square foot H Mart Asian-American supermarket





Along with the 450 retail shops the mall will offer, there will also be 100 dining options, including approximately 20 full-service restaurants, a first-of-its kind kosher food hall and a 38,000 square foot gourmet food court with 18 vendors and chef demonstrations operated by the youth-driven food and culture website Munchies. The project would also include a parking lot with 33,000 spaces, an on-site bus hub and a train station.

 Triple Five projected 40 million people to visit the mall each year, half of whom would be drawn from the 62 million tourists who visit the tri-state area annually.

Bergen County’s Blue Laws will keep stores at American Dream closed on Sundays but the entertainment and dining portions will be open 7-days a week.



 An 8-acre Nickelodeon Universe indoor theme park will contain two record-breaking roller coasters. There will be an 8-acre DreamWorks Waterpark, the first of its kind. The Big SNOW Ski and Snowboard Park will be North America’s first indoor snow sports center. And American Dream will have an NHL‐sized skating and hockey rink, an Angry Birds-themed 18‐hole miniature golf course, a Legoland Discovery Center, an aquarium, a luxury movie theater and more.
