Childhood Home of Christopher Columbus - Genoa, Italy

The port city of Genoa is the birthplace of Christopher Columbus, born around 1451 and one of the most famous people in world history. What remains of his birthplace home is preserved, although it is in poor condition as it was destroyed in 1684 by the bombing of the French.

Today the house of Christopher Columbus has become a historical museum that collects some passages of his childhood and youth as it was the home where he lived with his father.
On the ground floor, near the entrance of this house, was another door which was the entrance of the workshop where the Columbus' father wove and sold wool.
