Don’t you like going through your vacations photos? We all take pictures when we go on a vacation. It is a great way to perpetuate the experience and remember it for years to come. However sometimes taking pictures is not smooth. Unexpected problems pop up such as running out of space on your memory card or out of film, running out of battery or just forgetting the camera in the hotel. In this article we will provide a few easy to follow tips that will help you in carrying your camera and taking pictures.
The first decision when taking a camera with you on a trip is which camera to take. One of the common mistakes people do when traveling is taking a camera that does not fit their needs. For example they take a high end heavy camera just to leave it in the hotel room since it is too hard to carry with them.
It is important to take the right camera for the trip. For example if you are going to be walking a lot or trekking it is better to have a lighter weight smaller camera. If you are going to be driving a lot you can take heavier equipment and more accessories. You should also match the camera to the destination and to your photography level. If your goal is to capture memories a cheap small camera is more than enough. If your goal is to take high quality photos for future enlargements a professional high resolution camera is adequate.
Carrying the camera and its accessories is much easier with the right carrying bag. Most people are tempted to buy a bag specifically designed for their camera. These bags are easier to use and have the right compartments for the various accessories but they have a big drawback: they can draw the attention of a thief who is lurking for tourists. It is better to use a normal bag such as a backpack that does not look new or like a bag that holds an expensive camera.
Digital cameras have many accessories some are optional and some are not. It is a good idea to make a checklist and use it when packing for a vacation. Make sure that you take the battery charger, the right adaptors for the power outlets in your destination, lenses, memory cards and more.
Two very important things to remember when traveling are batteries and memory. Always carry a fully charged spare battery with you. One of the worst experiences is running out of batteries just before a great photo opportunity shows up. Charge both batteries at least every night when getting back to your hotel. Even if you did not take many photos that day and you think the batteries have enough power in them it is better to make sure by fully charging them rather than to take the risk. Also remember that batteries slowly lose their power even when not used so always recharge your spare battery too even if it was not used.
The equivalent of running out of film in old cameras is running out of memory in digital cameras. Make sure that you are taking enough memory cards for the whole trip. Unless you have a laptop with you to dump the photos to you will need the memory to last the whole trip. Try to guess how many photos you will take daily and then get enough memory to hold double that number. Remember that with digital cameras it is easy to take many pictures. It is better to take a few smaller capacity memory cards than one high capacity card. When a card is full you can leave it in your luggage in the hotel room. If worst happens and you lose your camera with the memory card in it you will at least have some memories in a safe place.
If you are an experienced photographer and want to take a tripod with you it is important to find the right compromise between a good tripod and carrying ease. If the tripod is too bulky and heavy you will end up leaving it in your hotel. You can also decide to carry two tripods a miniature one for when walking or trekking and a heavier one when driving around and stopping for photo opportunities.
Taking pictures when traveling is a great way to capture memories. When you get back home dump the photos to your desktop computer make backups and enjoy them for the rest of your life.
This year’s Munich 2019 Oktoberfest runs from Saturday, September 21 through Sunday, October 6 Oktoberfest is one of the world’s great seasonal festivals. It is held every fall in Munich, Bavaria, and in other locations around the world.
The first Oktoberfest was celebrated in Munich in 1810 in honor of Prince Ludwig’s marriage to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen. The festivities began October 12, 1810, and lasted for almost a week, until October 17. All citizens of Munich were invited to a meadow (Wies'n) situated in front of the city tower, subsequently renamed the Theresienwiese in honor of the bride. The public celebrations ended with an exciting horse race. After such a spectacular party, the happy couple decided that the same type of festival should be continued annually. In the following years, the galas were repeated every October, prolonged and, eventually moved forward into September primarily because of the weather.
In 1896, businessmen working with the breweries in Munich built the first giant beer tents at Oktoberfest, and beer drinking has been the primary focus ever since. Today, the Oktoberfest is the
best known beer festival around the world and has been replicated on all continents. In 2011, the Oktoberfest hosted 6.9 million visitors from around the world who drank 7.5 million liters of beer and ate the equivalent of 118 oxes and 522,821 roasted chickens. At the center of the spectacle are 14 large beer tents, which are set-up along the Wirtsbudenstrasse in the northern part of Theresienwiese. These have seating capacity of up to 8,500 inside the tent and additional hundreds or thousands of seats in the adjacent beer gardens.
The beer tents are still set up each year at Oktoberfest on the Theresienwiese, named in honor of the Crown Prince’s bride. Today the Munich festival also features a large midway and fair, and always lots of eating and beer drinking.
This year’s Munich 2019 Oktoberfest runs from Saturday, September 21 through Sunday, October 6, and it is expected that more than 6 million foreigners will visit the city. They will be there for the non-stop festivities — “endless rounds of beer, sausages, toasts, dances, parades and oompah bands.”
Bavaria is a distinctively Catholic area and carries on the Catholic tradition of celebrating the abundance of the earth with lots of jovial merrymaking, hearty eating, and unrestrained drinking.

THE FAMOUS DUCK TOUR
One of the best and most unique tours is the Duck Tour ride. This is a popular 80-minute tour for first-time Boston vacation visitors. You can pick-up and buy tickets for the tour at two places: The Museum of Science, and The Prudential Center in Boston's Back Bay.
The tour is done in a renovated World War II amphibious vehicle. You get to not only experience Boston from the streets of the city, but also from the Charles River... and without getting wet!
That's right, during the tour, the bus you're on will become a boat, and you'll see the beautiful Boston skyline from the river that separates Boston from Cambridge.
It's a great tour and you'd have to be "quackers" not to do it! Sorry couldn't resist it.
The Freedom Trail is a 2.5 mile easy-to-follow red brick line that links 16 historical sites together around the streets of Boston... and it's free. It starts from Boston Common and winds its way through Boston landmarks such as the State House, Boston Massacre Site, Paul Revere's House, USS Constitution, before ending up at the Bunker Hill monument in Charlestown.
If you do the whole walk, plan on at least 2-3 hours for distractions - nice ones though - or better still take the whole day.
The trail also takes you through Boston's famed North End, where you'll be sure to return during your Boston vacation to sample the superb Italian restaurants or stroll around this little corner of Italy.
THE NEW ENGLAND AQUARIUM
As San Diego has its world famous zoo, then Boston has the New England Aquarium.
New England and its coastline have a history of fishing and whaling. But today instead of harpooning whales, New Englanders spend most of their time saving them. And the aquarium is a vital link in the area's ocean preservation movement.
The centerpiece of the aquarium is the giant tank. The floors of the aquarium run around the tank and up four levels. At the top you get to peer down into a coral reef and listen as the staff explains about the tank and the fish that live in it.
You'll get the answer to questions such as: "Why don't the big shark fish eat the little tasty fish?" or "How old are those huge sea turtles swimming around down there?"
Your ticket will include a visit to the Discovery next to the main building, where you can see and learn about sea lions during an amazing show. A few years ago the Aquarium opened an IMAX theater that shows a mixture of sea-related and general science films.
A word of warning - this is a favorite Boston vacations attraction for families so it can get crowded. But you'll always get in, even when the ticket line seems to stretch for miles.
BEACON HILL
Beacon Hill is a popular walk for people on a Boston vacation. Here just off Boston Common you can stroll around Louisburg Square and admire the picturesque block of perfectly preserved residences.
This quiet and bewitching area is full of alleys and narrow red brick cobbled streets, where time has stood still for the last century. It's a sheer delight to walk. You'll find walled gardens and an authentic 19th century neighborhood feel. Even the original gas lights remain on streets lined with ancient elms.
While many tour buses and trolleys drive through Beacon Hill, the only real way of experiencing it, is by foot. So put on some comfy shoes, take out your camera and breathe in the scenery... its fine.
THE CENTER OF LEARNING
Boston has a strong tradition in universities. With MIT and Harvard perhaps the best known worldwide, but with other great colleges such as Tufts, BU, Boston College, and of course Northeastern.
MIT and Harvard are just a short train ride across the river. Take the Red Line to Harvard Square and hang-out in the Harvard campus and stroll the grounds, and if everything seems familiar to you, it probably is. Many movies - including Love Story - where filmed here.
And come back and visit at night when on a summer's evening street performers are everywhere and you don't have to pay a nickel for some of the best entertainment on your Boston vacation.

Thanksgiving is a very “stay at home” holiday for most Americans; it’s the one time of year everyone is expected to dutifully fly home, eat turkey, play board games and reignite old family feuds. With that in mind, if you want to find somewhere “happening” on Thanksgiving, it has to be New York City.
Thanksgiving kicks off in the Big Apple at 9am with a huge holiday tradition, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Make the most of the free entertainment and take to the pavements to watch this all-American procession of floats, giant balloons and cheerleaders, which dates all the way back to 1924. Originally, the store employees dressed up and paraded through the streets with pets loan from the Central Park Zoo.
From the 1930s, it began to appear in balloons effigies of cartoon characters and gradually became more animals in the parade. The first ball created for the occasion was that the image Felix the Cat, in 1927. Mickey Mouse joined him when the parade in 1934.
Among the balloons, there are essentially characters from comics or cartoons (Mickey, Bart Simpson, Dora the Explorer) but also to the world of video games (Sonic) as well as advertising mascots (Ronald McDonald, Pillsbury Doughboy).
2016 Parade Route
The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade begins at 9 am on Thanksgiving and lasts about three hours. It begins at 77th Street & Central Park West at 9am. The Parade will march south on Central Park West. At Columbus Circle, the Parade will then turn EAST onto Central Park South instead of heading
down Broadway. When the Parade reaches 6th Avenue, it turns south to 34th Street. At 34th Street it heads west to Macy's Herald Square and ends at 34th Street and Seventh Avenue at around noon. Admission is free.
You want to attend the parade in the front row without having to wait for hours for hours to book your place? So book the Brunch Thanksgiving Day Parade. The brunch takes place in an ideal location, situated along the road on 6th Avenue. You can either stay inside or go to outdoor areas. Enjoy an American brunch buffet, cocktails and of course the parade that passes in front of you.
Food is the primary focus of Thanksgiving, so good thing you’re in a city with arguably the richest food culture in the States. Plenty of restaurants do fixed Thanksgiving menus if you want a taste of tradition, though they’ll be pricey.
Most Broadway theaters and museums are closed on Thanksgiving, the streets of New York are calmer and less stressed people.
If you would like a particular activity on Thanksgiving, I advise you to participate in a dinner cruise on Thanksgiving. Enjoy a view of the skyline of Manhattan with while enjoying an excellent meal. This is a moment of perfect relaxation. The cruise lasts until 10:00 PM, so if you are a shopaholic, you will be in time to experience the Black Friday madness.

A popular summer seaside resort, Pescara has a long promenade with a glorious 10-mile (16-kilometer) long white-sand beach along the Adriatic Sea. It's equipped with beaches, full of bars and restaurants that attract many summer visitors.
Pescara is the largest city and capital of the Province of Pescara, in the Abruzzo region of Italy. It is located on the Adriatic coast on the east coast of Italy and is a popular summer seaside resort. Although geographically it's on the east coast of central Italy, it is considered by many as a part of the South.
Transportation and Travel in Pescara
By Air
Pescara is served by Abruzzo Airport, 5 km west of the city. A direct bus service connects Abruzzo Airport to Pescara Centrale station. The journey time is 10 minutes.
Abruzzo Airport has direct flight connections to Brussels-Charleroi (Charleroi Airport) with OnAir and London-Stansted (Stansted Airport), Oslo-Torp and Frankfurt-Hahn with Ryanair.
You can also take a train from Rome. Pescara has four stations in the central area: Pescara Centrale is the main station and located just west of the city centre.
Pescara Centrale station lies on the high-speed route of Milan-Lecce, which connects the north and south of Italy on the country's eastern coast. Trenitalia Freccia, InterCity (daytime) and Intercity Notte (overnight) trains connect Pescara to Bologna, Milan, Turin and Venice to the north, and Bari, Brindisi and Lecce to the south.
Trenitalia R (regional) trains connects Pescara Centrale to Rome (Roma Tiburtina) through the Apennines mountain range, Avezzano, Sulmona and L'Aquila, Abruzzo's regional capital.
Abruzzo's regional railway company, Sangritana, operates train services from Pescara Centrale to Lanciano.

By Car
To discover the beautiful landscapes and the rural villages of Abruzzo, the best advice would be to rent a car. You can drive to Pescara from Rome Ciampino Airport in about 1.5 hours. The drive is relatively free of traffic through the mountains, the view is excellent and there are lots of tunnels and bridges to cross.
The City
Despite the bombings that hit the Pescara during World War II it has since been massively rebuilt, becoming a very modern coastal city of Italy. Today it is a popular holiday destination thanks to its many miles of the beach and its surroundings conducive to scenic hikes.
The main commercial street of Pescara is Corso Umberto I, which runs from Piazza della Republica and reaches the seacoast at Piazza Primo Maggio. The rectangle that it forms with Corso Vittorio Emanuele II and Via Nicola Fabrizi encloses the main shopping district, where several of the best fashion shops are located.

A popular summer seaside resort, Pescara has a long promenade with a glorious 10-mile (16-kilometer) long white-sand beach along the Adriatic Sea. It's equipped with beaches, full of bars and restaurants that attract many summer visitors. The restaurants offer a sophisticated international cuisine, but with Mediterranean accents. The city owes its name to the very high number of fish in its waters. Pescara also offers its own specialties, mostly based on lamb meat. Also, who has never heard of the famous pecorino cheese? Visit the Museo delle Genti d'Abruzzo (Museum of Abruzzo People) which follows the story of mankind in Abruzzo, from man's first appearance as a Palaeolithic hunter. It highlights the contribution made by 9 italic tribes from Abruzzo and Molise to the making of Rome, thus giving the name "Italy" to the entire peninsula. The city has other smaller museums and many churches in
different architectural styles.
Pescara has a nice walking
area day and night. After a good restaurant by the sea, let yourself be
carried away by the torrid nightlife that prevails in the city. If you
have the opportunity to travel to Pescara in July, abandon yourself to
the vibrant rhythms of the Jazz Festival. Stroll peacefully in its streets to
admire the beautiful buildings that survived the war.
The city and its surroundings offer excellent places for hikers will
be able to climb the many hills and hold their breath at the vision of

Avis etc.) and visit the small villages nearby.

Pescara has the distinction of being a non stop party beach city. In summer days the core of the city is the coast. You can easily find clubs and discos just walking along the coast crowded with people. In winter all nightlife moves from the coast to Corso Manthonè, the heart of the old Pescara and becomes the center of the nightlife of the city during the off season.
La Fabbrica (The Factory), one of the most fashonable place in Pescara, is situated next to the university (southeast of the stadium). In the same street there is also Cantina Accademia a dance & dinner club. Megà, placed in the characteristic building "Palazzo Quadrifoglio", is situated on the north bank of the river Pescara. Opposite to Megà, on south bank of the river, you can find Wake Up! another famous disco.
